The familiar presence in his head slowly ebbed away.. As did his strength.
HABIT had drained his strength as it left his body.
He was suddenly dizzy and weak.
He attempted to txt somebody before it was too late.
He collapsed to…

*groans weakly, shifting against her*

Alex arrives at Evan’s house in record time, and dashes up to the house, knocking loudly on the door.

Ev? Are you there?

It’s fine..I need to rest anyways…haven’t been sleeping…

Thanks… I promise I won’t be gone longer than an hour!

He rushes out the door and drives off towards Evan’s house.

Alex trudged upstairs to his room, which looked like it had been hit by a tornado, and dug through his things to find his beloved sock pet. That monster in his closet had torn his room apart again, and Alex frantically searched until he found his sock. He smiled and immediately slid his hand into it stroking the top of it’s ‘head’. After which, he ran back downstairs and patiently waited for both Jess’ to arrive.

She pulled into the driveway, grabbing her phone and headed inside. 

Alex! I’m here!

Alex turns towards the door, slightly panicked.

I’m sorry, Jessica, but I just got a message from Evan, and I think somethin’s wrong. Do you mind if I head out real quick and go check up on him?

Jessica grabs her things and heads out to her car, starting it. She did her best to ignore the dull pain in her leg, and started to head towards Alex’s.
